The Global Trauma Consortium is the premier organization for international researchers, volunteers, professionals, and organizations interested in identifying, understanding, and treating psychological trauma. The Global Trauma Consortium is a fellowship of expert traumatologists across the spectrum of traumatology, starting with critical incidents to emergencies, crises, disasters, and catastrophes. The Global Trauma Consortium is affiliated with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, which is recognized and touted by the United States federal government and the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
Objectives

The Global Trauma Consortium will establish international standards on the practice of traumatology by publishing curricula for the training of traumatologists.

The Global Trauma Consortium will prepare a cadre of traumatologists in different crafts to participate in national and international deployments in order to provide evidence-based, bio-psycho-social-spiritual interventions to ameliorate the effects of trauma on those affected.

The Global Trauma Consortium will advocate and consult with individuals, communities, organizations and governments to lower the global incidences of adverse childhood experiences, adverse community environments, and adverse climate events.

The Global Trauma Consortium will implement a support network that will guide its members to accredited resources.
